About Us
Medicap LTC is wholly owned by OneroRx, a pharmacy group with 30 pharmacy locations across central Iowa. Our 28 retail locations operate as Medicap Pharmacy, Wright Pharmacy, Oakland Pharmacy, and Community Pharmacy. Midwest Compounding, our compounding pharmacy, is located in Clive. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care. We have provided pharmacy services for residential care customers for over twenty-five years, and in 2006 opened our closed-door pharmacy in Indianola. Our pharmacy is locally owned and operated, which means we take personal pride in offering the finest in pharmacy services.
What We Do
At Medicap LTC, we pride ourselves on the personal service we offer our customers. Our staff is available to answer any questions you have regarding our services, or on a resident's medication. A pharmacist is available for emergencies 24/7, simply call our regular number, 515-962-9399, when needed. We are here as your pharmacy partner and want to make the partnership as smooth as possible. Keeping Information Safe
We have taken extra steps to ensure your residents' information and medication records are safe in an event of disaster, such as a computer crash or fire. We have extensive hard drive systems which give us ample storage for residents' data and are alerted if there is a system failure, so we may quickly react and switch to our backup system.
We have installed the Disaster Recovery program, which will take over if the main server goes down, elminating any delay in processing information. This system is backed up every night, so in case of server failure, we can restore the residents' information quickly. Data is stored on both coasts in third party facilities. In an event that something would happen to our location in Indianola, destroying data on all three hard drives as well as backups, we would have the backup data on either coast, which allows us to recover data quickly to continue filling prescriptions.
Billing & Reporting
We are locally owned and operated and our billing department is located in Des Moines, Iowa, not out of state like many national pharmacies. Medicap LTC will bill the resident's insurance company or the government agency that maintains coverage for him or her. We will bill residents or the responsible party, each month for their co-pay, along with any additional items, such as over-the-counter products or any ordered by the physician that are not covered by insurance.
